"We live in the future, in name of the past"
The
story of the city of Rotterdam is one of destruction and of
resurrection. Since it's post-war years, Rotterdam has proven itself
effective in dealing with new architecture, new population and new
economies. In this short video portrait, GERS! magazine commemorates the
bombing of Rotterdam in 1940 in order to remember the fallen but most
of all celebrate the city's resilience afterwards and it's determination
in rebuilding it into a modern metropolis (please note that the video
is in Dutch!).
See you soon in Rotterdam! :)
