NUEVOS REQUISITOS DE ADMISIÓN PARA EL SELF PROGRAM DE LA UNIVERSITÉ JEAN MOULIN LYON 3 (F LYON03)


Desde la Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 (F LYON03) nos informan de los nuevos requisitos necesarios para ser admitido en el SELF Program (Study in English in Lyon, France):

Due to the increasing number of students in the SELF program, we have had to establish the following conditions and qualifications for admission to the SELF program. These conditions will apply from the September intake 2013/2014.

1. English level test for future SELF students – except for countries where English is the official language:

- TOEFL IBT:  overall score of  80 or higher with 20 at least for each section – only the official test will accepted (the local institutional version is not adequate)
- IELTS: overall score of 6,5 and 6 minimum at each section
- TOEIC including speaking, writing, listening and reading test: overall score of 660
- Cambridge Advanced: A/B
- Cambridge Proficiency: C minimum
The test must have been undertaken no more than two years prior to the commencement of the SELF program at Lyon 3.

2. Level of studies
The SELF program is addressed to students in their BA degree year (at least 2 years of studies completed)

3. French level
Regarding the French level, the SELF program is designed for students whose French level is basic, i.e. lower that A2 and are not able to attend courses in French.
Students whose French is good enough to attend content courses in French will be transferred into the DEUF program.

Universidad de Alicante / University of Missouri-Columbia Summer Business Program

Next July 2010 the campus will host a new edition of our International Business Program which for sure will be as successful as the previous ones¡


This three-week program, completely taught in English, is a unique opportunity for cross-cultural socialization between American and European students since classes are composed of students coming from the University of Missouri-Columbia (USA) and students from different European universities, including the University of Alicante. The academic offer is suplemented by an exciting program of cultural activities. Last year 84 students took part in the program.


The program consists of two modules, one offered by the University of Missouri-Columbia and one offered by the University of Alicante, during the three-week period. Each module comprises two courses; students participating in the program must attend one course of each module.

Module 1

  • Business Consulting (Prof. Luis Rodríguez Manfredi, Univ. Alicante)
  • Marketing Applications: Tourism Marketing, Pan-European Marketing and Brand Management (Prof. Juan Luis Nicolau and Eva Toledo, Univ. Alicante and Prof. Felipe Ruiz, Univ. Cardenal Herrera-CEU)

Module 2
  • Current Issues in Marketing (Prof. John F. Bennet, Univ. Missouri-Columbia)
  • Topics in International Business (Prof. Michael T. Christy, Univ. Missouri-Columbia)

The schedule of classes will be four days per week, from Monday to Thursday, starting on July 12 and finishing on July 31. Classes will be scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Reunión de presentación del International Business Programme (IBP) / Presentation Meeting International Business Programme (IBP)


El próximo 3 de febrero, a las 12,30h, presentaremos en el Salón de Grados de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales nuestro International Business Programme 2009/2010, cuyo segundo semestre comienza el día siguiente. Este programa, que organiza la Facultad desde hace unos años y que se imparte en inglés, consta de diez asignaturas (4 créditos UA - 5 ECTS) en cada uno de los semestres.

The spring semester will start the following day. This is a program organised by the Faculty and totally taught in English. We teach in English


A number of regular courses from the degrees in Business Administration (ADE) and Economics will be taught in English this academic year. These courses are available for Erasmus and other exchange students, and also for students from the UA. The list of courses, which are also taught in Spanish, includes macroeconomics, microeconomics, statistics and econometrics in diverse levels. Visita de Anita Lehtinen-Toivola

Today we have received a new visit from Finland: Anita Lehtinen-Toivola (HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences, Finland) is participating in the very intensive initial sessions of the course Cross-cultural Management, that she teaches together with Dr. Carmen Martínez, from our Faculty's Departamento de Análisis Económico Aplicado. This course was offered for years within the Máster en Comercio Internacional (Instituto Interuniversitario de Economía Internacional, Universidad de Alicante), but from this academic year it is part of our International Business Programme (IBP).

In the course students from both Haaga-Helia and the University of Alicante collaborate in multicultural teams that work together with the materials they can download from the course's site at Blackboard TM learning platform, and solve the weekly assignments using virtual communication tools under the supervision of Prof. Anita Lehtinen and Carmen Martínez.

Students from 15 different countries are taking this course in its first edition within the International Business Programme. On completion of the course they will receive an official certificate from both the University of Alicante and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences.

Hoy hemos realizado la presentación de nuestro International Business Programme 2009/2010. Este programa, que organiza la Facultad desde hace unos años y que se imparte en inglés, consta de diez asignaturas (4 créditos UA - 5 ECTS) en cada uno de los semestres.
