Empirics of Management:
An Academic Excellence Programme. London, September 2018
An Academic Excellence Programme at LSE´ in collaboration with the Fundación Rafael Del Pino, combines the best of LSE´s world class teaching and research in the field in a specially-designed format for young Spanish academics who have a strong background in economics, finance or other related social sciences. This programme will seek to train a cadre of first-class Spanish participants who will take the knowledge absorbed at LSE and impart that knowledge back in Spain, and thus helping to multiply the impact of their individual training and experience.
Due to the internal policy of the Fundación Rafael Del Pino, based in Spain, all applicants have to be Spanish Nationals. Foreign academics or specialists resident in Spain are not eligible for this particular programme.
What's included?
The programme itself will be a
5 day intensive course at LSE from Monday 10th to
Friday 14th September 2018. Successful applicants
will receive full funding for the programme as well as accommodation in London
for the duration of programme.
Participants will undertake study sessions on the

- Measuring Impact of Management on Firm Performance
- Information Technology, Productivity and the
Organisation of Firms
- Firm Capabilities and Market Structure
- Technology, Globalization and Beyond
- Corporate Governance
- Advance Qualitative Research Methods in Management
- Social Interactions in Organisations
- Role and Effects of Top Executives in Corporations
